Koi Pond 3D App Reviews

Koi Pond 3D 1.2 doesn’t open at all in macOS Sierra! Are there any plans to upgrade? I would hate to delete such a wonderful screensaver.

A Long-time Favorite Of Mine

I’ve only just been forced into an iMac after my poor old HP gave up the ghost. One of the features that I was most fond of was my Koi Pond Screensaver. Imagine my delight to find it available for Mac, and as a living wallpaper! I am beyond thrilled!

Applicaton Great but only mirrors with dual screen not like shark app

This is a great application and the graphics are awesome, no lag on my Mac. Here are few recomendations for improvement. 1. Make it truely dual screen compatible with the fish going from one screen to the other like the Shark application. 2. Have a quick mute key stroke like command M or something so you can enjoy the sounds but shut them down quickly with a stroke of a key. 3. Other than that, if you have to pay for an application you should get all of the screens, this buy the app and upgrade the the backgrounds is rather disappointing. I really love the app and my Granddaughter loves to stop into the office to see Grandpa’s fishes. Thank you for such a great looking application it runs great.

Excellent Graphics, but HUGE Energy Consumer

I was enticed by the graphics and am very impressed and pleased with the quality of the screensaver. However I rated this as 2-star because within the first day of the application running, I noticed my Macbook Pro battery life was drained within 2-3 hours (whereas it normally lasts 8-9 hours), and the fan is constantly ramped to cool the system. I decided to check Activity Monitor and the Energy Impact for Koi Pond was a staggering 257 units (vs 2.6 units for Messages and 2.8 units for Mail). And this is without Koi Pond actively displaying the screensaver, but rather running in the background. I’m not sure why this consumes so much energy while supposedly idle, but it is enough of a deterrent from running the application that I keep the app closed, which now defeats the purpose of paying $2-4 in the first place to acquire it. Nice graphical artistry, but extremely high energy consumption. Koi Pond developers, please find a way to make this app more energy efficient.

Koi Pond

Love it!!! It’s so relaxing that I sit in front of it while knitting .

Beautiful and relaxing

I’m a novice photographer and professional designer. I’m critical of apps that look constructed, pixilated and choppy. This app has to be my favorite. The movement and colors are amazing and in my very stressful life this is also relaxing. The options for colors and sounds are standard and perfect for a quiet landscape. I’m so glad I found this app!

A great addition to my workspace

I’m not sure what changed, but when I bought it (a year and a half ago), it was crashing my computer. Now, since I scarcely use my Mac these days, it was only earlier this month I a) remembered this app and b) realized it wasn’t crashing any more! Now it’s a wonderful ambiance, kept always running at the corner of my desk. =D Soothing music and movements, gorgeous scenery, and solid customization options.

Coll screensaver but not native Mac screensaver settings

Its a really great looking screensaver. But i was really disappointed when i discover it was not present in the mac (mountain lion) screensaver option. The drawback i s you cant set it as your default screensaver (so it is not possible to have it when you lock your screen for example). I hope it will be fix …. because a screensaver that is NOT a screensaver for the OS is not so useful :(

Cool and Relaxing

This application is very realistic and cool. I like it very much. It’s light to the computer and brings a relaxing experience I recomend it

Best wallpaper for iMac

This is probably the best wallpaper for my 27" iMac. Its so cool and makes me OK with the extra space round my applications.

WOW

This looks FANTASTIC on my MacBook Pro Retina!!! Beautiful koi fish, and I dont have to feed them!! These fish are realistic enough that I sometimes watch the screensaver mode, and forget they are simulated. I tried other so called HD fish tanks and aquariums, but this is BY FAR the ABSOLUTE best one. I also enjoy this developers other animated desktop Mechanical Clock 3d. Dolphins 3D is very good quality, but it lacks the realism that KOI 3D pulls off. ps. if seeing is believing, then DOWNLOAD NOW. I dont know what it is about the appStore screen shots that somehow dont do any justice to this app. The reflection of the water, every scale on the fish in fine detail, the realistic motion of the fish… all of it is perfect in the app, but the appStore screen shots dont fully capture the WOW factor.

Love it

I was going to get a Starbucks, but I spent my alloted coffee money for the day on the full version of Koi Pond instead. I regret nothing. Coffee is a temporary happiness. Beautiful CGI fish are forever. There is nothing more calming than watching these fish swim around after studying or stressful life in general. Plus its way better room decorator than a virtual fire place.

Really Good Fish Simulation.

This live wallpaper/screensaver is the most realistic fish simulation Ive seen yet, and very relaxing. I dont regret paying for the full version, and dont regret paying for the in-app purchase pond sakura. The blossom tree pops off my 27" iMac and just looks so realistic! Really adds that needed depth of feild. Be cool if the dev. added some frogs jumping and swimming around too! And maybe added some more features, like being able to play with, or feed the fish with clicks of the mouse. Again, VERY relaxing/realistic! You almost forget that youre watching a computer screen.

Koi Pond

Excellent, even seems to have a therapeutic value! Certainly worth the money

really beautiful

This is such a beautiful background - and looks amazingly real! The only thing I could ask for would be maybe some interactivity - lets get the fish food out! :D

I LOVE THIS APP

I feel like i am one with the koi as I use my computer. i feel a sense of tranquility and peace. It is realistic and breathtaking. well worth the cost!! Finally, i can be at one with nature without leaving my computer chair. (ouo)

beautifully done

lovely animation. i think some butterflies and some leaping frogs would look good with it too but otherwise its worth spending money on. keep up the good work!

Poor animation

1. the fish can go through the lily stems (really?) 2. the lily flowers always seem to be going through an earthquake 3. the dragonfly could not be less realistic as it flies jerkily and aimlessly.

Awesome

The background is beautiful

amazing…one of my favorite apps yet.

I’m loving this beautiful pond on my desktop, so lovely. very soothing. plenty of ponds and fish to choose from without paying any extra, even so i sprung for some in app purchases both to support the continued development of this app and for their added beauty. i do wish you could feed the fish, and for a few other creatures. a water beatle, a frog or two, a few other kinds of fish, even for the water to ripple when you click on it would be nice. these fish are so realistic i want to interact with them. :-) other suggestions, the ability to select your aquatic plants and numbers similar to how you select the fish. that way i could have some lillies in the sakura pond. also, in the sakura pond it would be cool if flower petals occasionally dropped onto the surface of the water. this is a very nice app.
