Koi Pond 3D App Reviews

Hi Utsuri Fish...

This isn’t a complaint, it’s actually pretty funny. Today, I noticed that my hi utsuri fish (the red & black one) would just float across the screen with its tail curled. At first I was like “whoa! Is it sleeping?? Is it dead???? Why aren’t the other fish doing it?” So I made a pond with just hi utsuri fish to observe them. Some just floated there, so swam across the screen with its tail curled, and some went about normally. Is this a glitch or something? Because it looks totally real and hilarious! Another thing is, we should be able to click a special button on the screen to feed the fish or something. Other than that, it’s perfect :D

This is absolutely awesome!!

This is the most awesome desktop I have ever seen!! I just switched from PC to a 27” iMac and what a beautiful way to show off its processor speed and awesome graphics. This has no effect on any other running programs. To have it running when you log back it, check the box to have your stuff reopen when you log back in or you will have to restart this.

soothing relaxing awesome app

Wasn’t sure this would live up to the other reviews, however, I must admit it has indeed lived up the numerous 5 stars and beyond. A truly remarkable app, even my co-workers went and purchased the app for themselves. Well done!

Beautiful but...

The graphics are amazing. Love the details. The fish, the water, the sound effects all of it great. The shopping experience needs A LOT of work. It is nearly impossible to purchase new fish or ponds. Click the button and come back in a year, you might have connected to something that will allow you to buy them. The “upgrades” are seriously overpriced. But, all and all I like the app. The wallpaper is nice, doesn’t bog down the system and it is cool to watch when you have nothing better to do.

Fan problem

I cant use this screensaver because my Mac Book Air’s fan can’t stop and very hot. I just stop useand. But Lite is OK to use so far.

I love this app

I absolutely love “my fish”. I have had no difficulties using it at all. It is simple to understand even for someone who is not the most computer savy person in the world (like me) and I can not agree more with those who talked about how realistic the fish are! I have had koi in the past. These are a soothing, relaxing substitute (I can’t have them where I live now). It blows away the previous aquarium apps I have tried. You will love it.

Interesting, but it splits the screen?

Maybe its because I havent updated to mavericks, maybe its because Im on a 24-inch which apple doesnt make anymore, but at the top of my screen where the bar is that has the Apple Icon, Finder, etc. for some reason it splits it in half. The side with the Apple Icon is grey, while the side wih the time, language, wifi connection, etc. is white. Not sure why this is but its kind of annoying. Otherwise a good app.

Mesmerizing

It is so beautiful and realistic. It would be a fantastic nightlight. It is so mesmerizing you could use it to help fall asleep.

Use with multiple monitors

Very nice Koi pond. And it has (nearly) excellent support for multiple monitors. I’m testing this out on a late 2013 MAC Book Pro with 3 monitors (the Retina screen + 2 x Dell U2410 24-inch monitors, one of which is on HDMI, one of which is on a mini-Display port). No noticable slow-down on my machine for working tasks such as spread-sheet work, word-processing, and X-Code programming. Even works fine while I’m running Windows tools in VMWare. I say “nearly” excellent multi-monitor support because of one thing: the Koi pond is simply replicated on all screens (a duplicate animated image). It would be SO much nicer to have the Koi pond actually EXTEND to the multiple montors, watching fish swim from one section of the pond (screen) to another. Here’s my full wish list for the app (and yes, I’ll plunk down more money for these features); 1. Option to extend or duplicate Koi pond across multiple monitors. Right now, it’s duplicate only. 2. Add small animations such as dropping cherry pedals. The occasional dragonfly that the app already does is very nice. 3. Add weather… passing rain, etc… 4. Koi speed - these ones are a bit active compared to a real pond 5. Feeding the Koi for some personal interaction. 6. Splashing in the pond for some personal interaction. 7. When going in to screen save, require password to get out of screensaver, if that option is enabled in System Preferences. This allows the screen to be locked (e.g. when at lunch at work or on-site with a customer). All-in-all, this is an excellent app, and comes highly recommended.

amazing!

amazing! i love to watch

Awesome app but one little thing….

Guys really love the app, and still do, but I just recently upgraded from Snow Leapord to Mavericks, and for some reason the top menu bar that is translucent for the wallpaper still shows the original background behind it and not the koi pond. Where as in Snow Leapord it went behind the translucent. I feel like I’m in a different world with a moving wallpaper, and well it’s the little things that matter, and since it for some reason doesn’t work behind the translucent bar I fell like I am not totally submerged into it. Just wondering if you could release a minor update to fix this problem, but still love the app :)

Great Stress relief

Very peaceful and relaxing. Just what I need right now. I have had it installed for several months and it has not had any problems.

Love This App

The graphics on this app are amazing. I spend hours just watching this on my desktop and listening to the music that comes with it. It is so relaxing when I watch this and the fish assortment is just great.

The Best

Awsome great for those who injoy a peace and relaxation mood

Great App

I think this app is well done. The sounds, music and visuals can all be adjusted. It relaxes me while I work.

Very Realistic

I think this application is fantastic! Very enjoyable to watch, listen to and just overall relaxing. Its a great stress release for me. Im running Yosemite on my Mac and the application runs problem free. However, it would be very helpful if the application could allow you to directly purchase and download in-app purchases like the Premium Pond and Twilight Waterfall. Other than that, Im looking forward to the updates as they come out!

really nice

i had been looking for a aquarium wallpaper and just didn’t see any that i liked. I stumbled on to Koi Pond 3D by chance and liked what I saw. It really looks nice and works very well. I had a little trouble figuring out how to use it as a screen saver but once i contacted the company and they told me what i needed to do it worked just fine.

Beautiful!

This is a wonderful app! Very realistic, lots of settings and soothing sounds. No problems running it in Yosemite.

Great app!

This app is great! I get compliments on it all the time. No bugs, no issues, just a fun relaxing animated desktop background!

Hypnotic and Calming

Working in a stressful environment, I’ve come to love my little electronic koi pond. Bought the extra fish and the additional ponds to add to the fun! The sound effects make it even more relaxing. Wonderful app!
